The British Judo Council believes that Jigoro Kano's vision of Judo was to enable personal achievement where everyone has the ability to develop themselves both mentally and physically with a view for mutual welfare and benefit. This is where, through working together to understand how we move and think, we can improve ourselves and our partners through a positive feedback loop. Behaviour such as bullying, whether on or off the mat negates this process and not only hinders advancement but damages it. It therefore follows that the BJC is committed to appropriate standards of behaviour for all of its members and there is no toleration of bullying. |
